Nigerian Government Ineffective in Fighting Lawlessness and Violence
In two successive incidents in Kaduna, Nigeria, in early October, a Baptist woman died, and twelve Christians including church members, school students, and teachers, were kidnapped. This violence is widely attributed to militant Fulani herdsmen of the area who may be affiliated with Boko Haram. No matter what the source of these attacks is, the government in Nigeria is again proving to be completely ineffective in their fight against lawlessness and violence. Attacks on Christians by Boko Haram and these militant herdsmen have increased in 2018 and 2019. Nigeria is number twelve in a list of the fifty countries where it is most dangerous to live as a Christian.
