In Memoriam
On September 17th, 2007, the Lord suddenly removed Deacon Adrian Van Ravenswaay from the midst of his family and the congregation of Sioux Center. He was able to serve the congregation in the office of deacon for almost thirty years with love and concern for its well-being. May the Lord remember the mourning family and bless this calling to all of our hearts.
Renewal and Gift Subscriptions
The Lord has again permitted and enabled us to publish our denominational periodical The Banner of Truth during the past year. We will, the Lord willing, soon enter another new year. At this time of the year, it is necessary to renew your subscription and also any gift subscriptions which you are responsible for so that The Banner of Truth may be forwarded to you without interruption. A self-addressed envelope is included for the convenience of those who are subscribing on an individual basis. We have had to raise our subscription rates this year due to increased costs for both printing and mailing. Please forward your renewal for 2008 prior to the end of 2007. Those who receive The Banner of Truth through their own congregation, need not respond to this notice. We are grateful for your continued support and pray that the Lord will again provide for all of our needs for the coming year.
Anniversary and other announcements will be placed upon request. A donation for their placement would be appreciated. For consistency, size is limited. Please send your request to the managing editor, Dr. E. Nieuwenhuis, whose address is shown inside the front cover. Requests for placement should be made by the 10th of the month prior to the month of publication.

Commemorative Book
The Netherlands Reformed Book and Publishing Committee has been searching for a way by which our congregations in North America may share with our sister congregations in the Netherlands the Lord’s faithfulness and goodness in allowing our denomination to continue for one hundred years. In 1907, the Lord gave two people, Rev. G.H. Kersten and Rev. N.H. Beversluis, the desire and the ability to begin laying the groundwork for the Netherlands Reformed Congregations. Our Book and Publishing Committee wishes to introduce a new book entitled Rev. G. H. Kersten, Facets of His Life and Work. We have made every attempt to keep the cost down; therefore, we can offer it to you at $10.00 per book. May it be the Lord’s will that it bear spiritual fruits amongst us, and may all redound to the glory of His great and holy Name.
