ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM ST. CATHARINES ONTARIO
The congregation and the consistory of St. Catharines wishes to express their hearty thanks and appreciation to the congregation of Clifton. When I was there on a Sunday they told me that a collection would be held in behalf of the building of our new church.
This collection amounted to $770.00. What a blessing in these dark times to receive a token of brotherly love from among our congregations on this side of the ocean. May the Lord’s favor rest upon all our labors, in all our congregations, so that they are edified and that these labors may be to the extension of the Kingdom of Heaven and to the glory of His Name.
Rev. J.C. Weststrate
ANNOUNCEMENT
It is with great pleasure that we can announce to our readers that another book of the late Rev. G. Van Reenen has been translated, and is available for purchase. The Catechism of the same minister was published in English in 1955. The Lord still uses those sermons for instruction and edification in the churches and in the homes.
The title of the new book in English is “A Dialogue Between Bart and Case About the Parables and the Beatitudes.”
We may acknowledge the Lord that He has given Mr. John Vanden Top the desire to translate this book. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this first printing will soon be sold out, and that other translations may follow. The book is full of instruction and comfort on the way to heaven. God’s Word is explained very simply in this book; and many problems of the soul are solved. I would like to see this book in the hands of young and old. There are so many books on the market these days, also “religious” books, that we must loathe. But this book contains nourishment for hungry souls. May the Lord for Christ’s sake bless the publishing of this book to His honor and the salvation of many souls.
The price is $1.75. You may obtain it from your consistory, or from Mr. John Vanden Top of Rock Valley, Iowa, or from our church, First Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 540 Crescent St. N.E., Grand Rapids, Mich. 49503.

MINISTERS TO VISIT THE USA & CANADA
The Deputies of Foreign Churches announce that the Rev. A. Vergunst hopes to visit the congregations in America this summer from June 20 to July 29. Also the Rev. C. Hegeman hopes to come to America in the month of August.
Both ministers have already made engagements for their Sundays, but as far as it is possible they will also serve the churches during the week.
May the Lord make all things well, and may it all be in the favor of the Lord.
In the name of the deputies,
Rev. A.M. Den Boer
Rev. W.C. Lamain
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
