REV. M. HEERSCHAP AILING

The Consistory of the Lethbridge Congregation has requested it be made known to the churches and friends that their minister has been hospitalized for several days because of an acute attack of diabetes.

The Lord has strengthened him so that he could return home again and perform some pastoral duties for his congregation.

May it please the Lord to remember him further, and bless the means used for his recovery in all these trials, to his soul.

We are all subject to many miseries, including ministers. May we remember Rev. Heerschap, together with all God’s servants, in our prayers.

MEETING OF THE CURATORIUM

The Lord willing, the curatorium appointed by the Synod to examine those who desire to be trained for the ministry will meet June 18, 1974 in Grand Rapids. Persons who think that they have a calling for the ministry should contact their consistories in order to obtain an attest. In vacant churches it is necessary that a meeting with such persons by held in the presence of the moderator.

Requests for a hearing at the curatorium must be received by me, the clerk of the curatorium, before May 4th.

May it please the Lord to give us men to fill the needs of vacant churches. Everything is forfeited, but that the Lord may remember us in mercy for Christ’s sake.
